19th ANNUAL OHIO THETA GOLF OUTING EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS
On June 7, 2008, fifty six alumni and actives braved the elements to compete in the 19th Annual Ohio Theta Golf Outing. The day’s events took place at Pebble Creek Golf Course under questionable early conditions (light rain and the occasional crack of thunder). Despite the dicey start, everyone finished their round and had a great afternoon catching up with each other. The team of Chris Berardinis, Tim Guffey, Rey Medina and Scott Carr (aka Dirk Franz) took first place with a final score of 12 under par for the four-man scramble. The team of Kevin Smith, Joff Moine, David Burns and Allen Grant finished second just one stroke back and three teams tied for third place. A cookout buffet dinner along with refreshments followed the day of hitting the links.
Ron Fleming was honored as the Most Experienced Player (oldest alumni) in the event. Allen Grant out paced everyone for the Longest Distance Traveled Award by flying into town from Los Vegas.
Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive and Longest Putt Awards were handed out on eleven holes.

Each year the Alumni Golf Outing event continues to grow and next year’s event promises to be even better with more prizes and camaraderie.
