Ohio Theta Key Volunteer Mentor Development Academy

Second Draft 02/16/2009

 

Mission : To provide a rich interactive educational environment, conducted in CLA subject format that allows key alumni volunteers to be apprised of each of the positions within a chapter and given the tools and knowledge to make a positive impact year after year.

 

Format : Within the chapter there are a minimum of 6 key positions within an exec board. They are :

 

  • Office of the President

  • VP of Programming

  • VP of Finance

  • VP of Recruitment

  • VP of Development

  • VP of Communications

  • Chaplin

 

Our programming will consist of individualized classes geared specifically to each of these positions, as well as programming for Chapter Counselors.

 

Staffing : Whereas possible we will use Certified SPE Trainers. Currently, we have :

 

  • Matt Blecke (Ohio Theta '95) Chapter Counselor University of Toledo

  • Rey Medina (Ohio Theta '01) AVC University of Cincinnati

  • John Abraham (Ohio Theta '77) AVC President University of Cincinnati

  • Drew Fink (Ohio Theta '06) AVC University of Cincinnati

  • Zack Bryson (Ohio Theta '06) AVC University of Cincinnati

  • Currently we are look for 2 additional Certified Trainers.

 

Date : Saturday March 21th, 2009 from 10 AM to 5PM

 

Location : University of Cincinnati Conference Center

 

Materials and Content : Each instructor will provide their individual content for their classes. Additionally Ohio Theta will put up a website so that individual attendees can share their thoughts and concerns before the actual event. This input will be forwarded to each instructor as soon as it arrives. On March 14 each instructor shall post their specific agenda, with PDF materials for each attendee to download and print.

 

Cost : At this time the only foreseen cost associated with this program will be for lunch and breaks.
