The Ohio Theta Legacy Continues
The chapter has maintained the legacy of Ohio Theta for over 20 years when they were recognized by the Grand Chapter with a Buchanan Cup at the 2011 Conclave in Phoenix, Arizona. The undergraduates recognize the fact that the chapter has continuously received this special recognition since 1989, for most of them; this is before they were born!
Ohio Theta has won a Buchanan Cup in 1961, 1963, 1969, 1989, 1991, 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, and 2011. This has continued our chapter's legacy of having the longest winning streak in the Fraternity's recent history; placing the chapter in the top three off all time recipients, with 15 overall Buchanan Cups in our 63 year history.
We acknowledge and thank the generations of Ohio Theta brothers that have come before us and have helped to build this premier chapter into what it is today.

Brother John Abraham '77 receiving Sigma Phi Epsilon's highest honor, the Order of the Golden Heart at the 2009 Conclave; this recognition is bestowed upon those men who dedicate a lifetime to the Fraternity. The legacy of Ohio Theta has been shaped for over three decades under Brother Abraham's stewardship and mentorship.
No other chapter, besides Mother Alpha (University of Richmond) herself has had more recipients of this honor than Ohio Theta. During Ohio Theta's 63 years of existence, there have been five other men besides Brother Abraham to be recognized with this honor, they are: Earl Fertig (IXE '35), Dr. Garland G. Parker (IXE '37), Dr. R. Eric Weise '54, Don Kindle '55, and Dr. James F. Robeson '59.
